AWS North Florida Section
First Coast

Welcome to the new web site for the North Florida section of AWS.  The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919 as a multifaceted, nonprofit organization with a goal to advance the science, technology and application of welding and related joining disciplines.

From factory floor to high-rise construction, from military weaponry to home products, AWS continues to lead the way in supporting welding education and technology development to ensure a strong, competitive and exciting way of life for all Americans.

                                                          AWS Mission Statement

The mission of the American Welding Society is to advance the science, technology and
application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.

Words from the Chair(Steve Mattson) (What We Do)  It has been an interesting experience to create this web site for the members of the North Florida Section of the AWS organization.  The first order of business was to have a way of getting information out to the members in a timely manner.  We think this has been accomplished by the use of emailing, rather than snail mail,  and  the Schedule of Events feature.  The individuals using this feature will find that it brings up a yahoo style calendar for AWS North Florida,  with all the standard functions except the ability for viewers to change the information.  Otherwise, enjoy!
